The smooth logistics for the 2026 Hajj receives support from several state-owned enterprises. PT Pos Indonesia (Persero) and PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk are collaborating to achieve this.

The support is marked by the release of exports of spice pastes and ready-to-eat (RTE) foods.

The event was attended by the President Director of PT Pos Indonesia (Persero), Daud Joseph; the Director of Commerce of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Reza Aulia Hakim; the Director General of Hajj and Umrah Economic Ecosystem Development, Prof Jaenal Effendi; and the Deputy for Coordination of State-Owned Enterprise Management and Development from the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Ferry Irawan, along with their respective teams.

This collaboration forms part of the strengthening of an integrated Hajj logistics ecosystem, from domestic shipping processes to distribution at the destination. In addition to ensuring the availability of foods with an Indonesian flavour, this synergy also supports efficiency and timeliness in deliveries.

The President Director of PT Pos Indonesia, Daud Joseph, stated that Pos Indonesia’s role extends beyond mere delivery but also ensures the entire logistics chain operates optimally.

“We ensure the distribution process runs in an integrated and timely manner, so that the needs of pilgrims can be well fulfilled,” he said.

A similar sentiment was expressed by the Director of Commerce of PT Garuda Indonesia (Persero) Tbk, Reza Aulia Hakim, who affirmed Garuda Indonesia’s readiness to support Hajj logistics distribution.

“Garuda Indonesia is ready to strengthen collaboration with Pos Indonesia to ensure deliveries run smoothly and according to needs,” he said.

Quality standards

In addition to distribution aspects, the government also emphasises the importance of quality standards in Hajj logistics.

The Director General of Hajj and Umrah Economic Ecosystem Development, Prof. Jaenal Effendi, stated that as guardians of distribution, they ensure all processes meet halal, health, product durability, and timely delivery standards, so that pilgrims’ consumption needs are well met.

This strengthening of synergy is also seen to have strategic impacts on the national economy.

Meanwhile, the Deputy for Coordination of State-Owned Enterprise Management and Development from the Coordinating Ministry for the Economy, Ferry Irawan, said this step can enhance the competitiveness of national products.

“In addition to improving Hajj service quality, this synergy also contributes to strengthening the national economy,” he said.

Through this collaboration, Pos Indonesia and Garuda Indonesia provide more efficient and integrated logistics services, while also opening opportunities for SMEs to sell national food products reaching global markets.
