Portrait of Prabowo Bringing the Maung Vehicle to the ASEAN Summit in the Philippines

President of the Republic of Indonesia Prabowo Subianto, along with a limited delegation, arrived in Cebu, Philippines, on Thursday (7/5/2026) to attend the 48th ASEAN Summit. According to footage from the Philippine government broadcaster Radio Television Malacañang (RTVM), Prabowo was seen wearing a brown outfit complemented by a peci cap and black sunglasses. After descending the aircraft steps, the head of state was immediately greeted by the Philippine delegation with a bouquet of flowers. While shaking hands with the welcoming delegates, the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia also disembarked from the same aircraft as the president. Cabinet Secretary Teddy Indra Wijaya was also part of the delegation accompanying Prabowo. Prabowo then saluted the welcoming troops before proceeding to the vehicle he would board. A Maung MV3 Garuda Limousine vehicle, typically used as the presidential state car, picked him up to leave the airport area. It is known that the 48th ASEAN Summit is taking place on 7-8 May 2026. The issues to be discussed at this ASEAN heads of state meeting will focus on the impact of global conflicts on the region, including energy resilience, food security, and economic stability in the region.
