Portrait of Mass Grave of 160 Victims of US-Israel Attack on Iranian Primary School
Drone footage on Tuesday showed excavators digging a row of new graves in Minab, a city in southern Iran. Workers prepared the burial site for victims of the attack on a girls’ primary school, Reuters reported. Earlier, US Secretary of State Marco Rubio said on Monday that American troops would not intentionally target schools after Iranian state media reported more than 160 people were killed in the attack on the girls’ school on the first day of the US-Israel offensive against Iran. The strike occurred at a girls’ primary school in Minab on Saturday, marking the deadliest incident so far in the conflict between the United States and Israel and Iran. The incident was condemned by UNESCO and Malala Yousafzai, the Nobel Peace Prize-winning education activist. Deliberate attacks on educational institutions, hospitals, or other civilian structures constitute war crimes under international humanitarian law.
