PORSENITAS XIII Hailed as Platform to Strengthen Inter-Regional Collaboration
West Java Vice Governor Erwan Setiawan officially opened the 13th Inter-Regional Sports and Arts Week (PORSENITAS) and the KUNCI BERSAMA Regional Featured Products Exhibition 2026. The event serves as a platform to strengthen relations between regions.
Carrying the theme ‘Harmoni Caruban Nagari: Uniting Boundaries, Measuring Achievement’, the event, held from 23 to 27 June 2026, also showcases the economic, cultural, and sporting potential of the regions within the KUNCI BERSAMA forum. The ten member regions consist of Kuningan Regency, Cirebon Regency, Cirebon City, Ciamis Regency, Majalengka Regency, Banjar City, Pangandaran Regency, Indramayu Regency, Cilacap Regency, and Brebes Regency.
In his remarks, Erwan Setiawan emphasised that PORSENITAS is not merely a sports and arts competition, but a vessel for strengthening brotherhood and collaboration between regions. ‘PORSENITAS is not just a sporting and arts event, but also a means to strengthen relations between regions, build networks, and foster mutual respect and support,’ Erwan stated in a written release on Friday (26/6/2026).
Meanwhile, the regional featured products exhibition serves as proof that each region possesses potential, identity, and economic strength worthy of pride and joint development. According to Erwan, Cirebon City is the ideal location for the event due to its long history, cultural wealth, and strategic position as a meeting point for various community elements in the Pantura region of Java. Moreover, the staging of PORSENITAS XIII coincides with the 599th Anniversary of Cirebon City, further reinforcing the spirit of collaboration and regional development.
Erwan also welcomed the plan to hold the KUNCI BERSAMA Summit on 27 July 2026, which will bring together national and international investors with the member regions. He expressed hope that the existing cooperation would not be limited to arts, culture, and product promotion, but would also expand into other sectors such as infrastructure, investment, and regional development. ‘We, the West Java Provincial Government, strongly support efforts to strengthen inter-regional cooperation like this. Through togetherness, the exchange of experiences, and healthy competition, we can produce greater achievements, whether in sports, arts, or the regional economy,’ he said.
Meanwhile, the Chair of the KUNCI BERSAMA Joint Secretariat for the 2025-2030 period, who is also the Regent of Kuningan, Dian Rachmat Yanuar, assessed that PORSENITAS is a meeting space that strengthens friendships and removes geographical and administrative barriers between border regions. ‘PORSENITAS is not just a sports and arts competition. It is a space for encounters, a space for the heart, and a space for commitment that strengthens friendships and removes geographical and administrative boundaries,’ said Dian.
He added that sports teach sportsmanship and fighting spirit, while art presents harmony from diversity. When the two are combined in one activity, values of unity, creativity, and respect for others are born. Dian also stressed the importance of the Regional Featured Products Exhibition as a promotional tool for the works of communities and business actors from all KUNCI BERSAMA member regions. According to him, regional progress is not only measured by physical development, but also by the community’s ability to create added value through innovation and creativity. ‘Potential is just a seed, while innovation is the water that makes it grow into a tree that benefits many people,’ he said.
The series of events began with a Cultural Parade and Opening Ceremony on 23 June 2026. On 24 June 2026, a Cirebon 599th Anniversary Concert was held, featuring a number of national artists and performers. The Regional Featured Products Exhibition ran from 23 to 27 June 2026 along Jalan Siliwangi, while the arts performance competitions were scheduled for 25 to 26 June 2026. The sports contested included volleyball, table tennis, badminton, futsal, chess, tennis, basketball, billiards, padel, and traditional sports, which are a hallmark of PORSENITAS. On the occasion, it was also announced that Cirebon Regency will host the 14th PORSENITAS and KUNCI BERSAMA Regional Featured Products Exhibition in 2027.
