Porsche marks 75th anniversary with Australia-themed special editions

Porsche is marking its 75-year presence in Australia by introducing a series of Australia-themed special edition models at the 2026 Melbourne Grand Prix, made specifically for that market. Drive reported on Thursday local time that the four models receiving the special treatment are the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid, Taycan 4S Cross Turismo, Cayenne S, and Macan 4S. Each car is designed with a theme inspired by Australia’s landscapes and geographical character, with distinct approaches for the northern, southern, eastern, and western regions. The colours were chosen to reflect natural elements distinctive to Australia, ranging from tropical tones to coastal hues and the arid inland. In addition to the special paint, the cars are equipped with exclusive wheels and trim details that differ from the standard models. Inside the cabin, there are special leather materials with colour combinations tailored to each edition’s theme. Additional details such as contrast stitching, special embossing, and decorative elements further emphasise their status as 75th-anniversary models. Each unit also receives extra personalization, including distinctive 75-year Porsche in Australia inscriptions on certain parts of the vehicle. According to Schmollinger, the four special cars symbolise Porsche’s heritage and future across Australia. “The four cars align Porsche’s timeless design with regional identity, culture, lifestyle and objectives.
