On Dec. 9, 1996, I took my family to Lokasari Recreation
Center. Right at the entrance gate, a number of movie posters are
on display. These posters inevitably draw the attention of
moviegoers.

I can understand if the scenes featured on the posters hail
from imported films. But ironically, the posters advertising
Indonesian films are more disgusting pornographically. For
example, there is a poster showing a scene from the film Ecstasy
and Sex at one of the theaters. What vulgar pornography! How can
we let our children look at such posters every day?

To save our young generation, it is necessary for the
authorities to take appropriate measures against those displaying
morally degrading posters.
