The National Nutrition Agency (BGN) is prioritising the construction of Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG) to serve the Free Nutritious Meal Programme (MBG) in areas with high stunting rates. Minister of Religious Affairs Nasaruddin Umar stated that the National Zikir and Prayer event to be held at Monas Square, Jakarta, on Saturday, 1 August 2026, is open to the public and invited everyone to participate. The government, through the Coordinating Ministry for Food, is committed to accelerating the arrangement and ensuring the sustainability of more than 13,000 MBG service points across Indonesia. The Ministry of Health has proposed that the city of Bogor become a national pilot project for an integrated tuberculosis (TB) control programme, following the city’s success in establishing TB Alert Villages in all 68 of its sub-districts. The National Disaster Mitigation Agency (BNPB) confirmed that joint task force teams in four districts of Central Java Province are still battling to extinguish forest and land fires.
