Poor use of fuel in RI

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesians are still wasteful in energy that
the country has to import a lot of fuel, especially diesel fuel,
Minister of Mines and Energy I.B. Sudjana said Saturday.

As a result of the energy wasteful habit, he said, some
people, even today, have not been able to enjoy certain basic
facilities like electricity.

"So far only 68 percent of our villages have been covered by
electrification program," he was quoted by Antara as saying in
Parepare, South Sulawesi.

He added that his ministry would try its best to provide
electricity for all in the near future.
