Poor train service

State railway company PT Kereta Api treats its passengers poorly, particularly commuters along the Jakarta-Bogor-Tangerang- Bekasi route.

Most stations on the route, such as those between Bogor and Kota, do not have proper facilities for waiting passengers. With the exception of the Cikini-Kota line, most of the train platforms provide almost no space for passengers.

What seats there are in the stations are all used by vendors, leaving passengers to stand on the crowded platforms.

Worse still, in some stations the remaining space for standing has been taken up by kiosks. As a result, waiting passengers are only about a meter away from passing trains, leaving them vulnerable to accidents as they scramble to board the trains.
