Poor condition of 'RRI'

As a regular listener of the national radio station RRI, it is
sad to see its quality deteriorate. The quality of its broadcast
-- except Pro 2 FM, which is managed by a private company -- is
worsening. Allegedly, irregularities are rampant in this national
radio station.

Certain members of RRI's board of directors were allegedly
involved in the swap of land and building of RRI Semarang,
inflicting losses worth billions of rupiah on the government.
Besides, they were also engaged in the fictitious rehabilitation
of three SW transmitters in Cimanggis, Bogor, a project worth
about Rp 25 billion.

In this respect, all ranks of RRI must make sure that the
assets of this national radio station -- worth trillions of
rupiah -- are properly kept.

The House of Representatives must also actively supervise the
performance of RRI ranks.

All assets of RRI must be audited and firm action must be
taken against those involved in irregularities.
