Endro Sudarsono, who is assisting the management of Ponpes HQ, said he was grateful that police had returned a number of items seized during searches of the pesantren in connection with the burning of a pork-noodle stall in Sukoharjo, Central Java. He confirmed that the returned items were intact.

“They were intact, except for two things: two CCTV units and one mobile phone, which are needed for further purposes. Everything else has been returned, including the items from Jenawi in Karanganyar. In short, everything seized has been returned except for the two CCTV units and one mobile phone. The drone has been returned,” Endro said in a video received by detikcom on Saturday (31 October 2026).

He said the items returned by police had already been collected by his side. He also said he was pleased that the Central Java deputy police chief had apologised for what had happened.

“We are grateful because everything has been returned. The deputy police chief also personally apologised earlier for several things that happened in Jenawi and Laban,” he said.

Police have returned a number of items seized during a search of Ponpes HQ in Laban Village, Mojolaban District, Sukoharjo. The items included a drone and a motorbike.

“There was a request from the pesantren’s caretaker for the evidence to be returned promptly. I asked the Sukoharjo police chief to return today any evidence unrelated to the violence at the stall,” Central Java Police public relations chief Yuliyanto told detikJateng by telephone on Saturday (31 October 2026).

“They have been returned today,” he added.

Separately, Sukoharjo Police Chief Andika Dharma Sena said the returned items were not connected to the criminal offence being investigated by police.

“Regarding the return of the evidence, I should clarify that it was not related to the criminal offence. It has been returned to the lawyer and the pesantren’s management,” Sena said at Sukoharjo Police Headquarters.
