Polytron: Price Adjustment, a Rational Step
Polytron’s Commercial Director, Tekno Wibowo, revealed that global geopolitical dynamics, including the conflict between Iran and the United States, are influencing the costs of raw materials and energy, which in turn impact the electronics industry.
“Price adjustments are indeed a rational step in responding to the dynamics of global raw material and energy prices,” said Tekno to Tempo on Tuesday, 21 April 2026. Nevertheless, the company’s primary commitment remains unchanged.
Polytron, he said, ensures that every price adjustment remains proportional to the superior product quality and added value received by consumers.
He stated that some electronic product components still rely on imports, so global supply chain disruptions affect access and the costs of importing basic components. However, according to him, the company can still control the situation.
Tekno stated that one key to maintaining business stability amid geopolitical uncertainties is diversifying supplier partners. A broad supplier network is considered helpful in mitigating the impact of global disruptions.
In addition, a comprehensive efficiency strategy across all operational lines and the supply chain is the main focus. The company also maximises the integrated local manufacturing facility ecosystem to reduce additional costs, thereby keeping product prices competitive in the market.
