Polytron Electric Motorcycles Discounted Independently Without State Incentives
JAKARTA — Polytron’s electric motorcycle sales are not dependent on government subsidies, according to the Kudus, Central Java-based manufacturer.
The company has chosen to offer independent price reductions to keep the market moving. Head of Group EV 2-Wheels Polytron Ilman Fachrian Fadly stated that the company’s current subsidies remain in effect but their values are adjusted monthly.
Previously, the price reduction for the Polytron Fox 350 reached 7 million rupiahs through February 2026. From March onwards, the incentive was reduced to 6.5 million rupiahs. The Fox 350 now receives 6.5 million rupiahs, the Polytron Fox 200 remains at 7 million rupiahs, whilst the Polytron Fox 500 receives a 5 million rupiah discount.
According to Fadly, this policy follows market conditions after the government discontinued subsidies for new electric motorcycles from September 2024. “We follow what the government sets. To date, the government’s regulation does not provide subsidies for new electric motorcycles, so we simply follow along,” he said.
Despite lacking government incentive support, Polytron claims its electric motorcycle sales remain relatively stable. “So far it remains relatively stable. From the month we launched the Fox 350 onwards, the fluctuations are not significant,” Fadly stated.
Since November 2024 through early March 2026, Fox 350 sales have reached nearly 10,000 units. This newest model has replaced the Fox R as the backbone of Fox Series sales.
Thanks to independent subsidies, the Fox 350 is priced at 16 million rupiahs, the Fox 200 at 11.5 million rupiahs, and the Fox 500 at 38.1 million rupiahs.
