JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com - Polytron has begun recording a position in the list of best-selling car brands in Indonesia. Although it only began marketing its products in the second half of 2025, the brand has already entered the national top 25 in sales. Based on data from Gaikindo, total wholesale (factory to dealer) for 2025, Polytron ranked 37th among car brands with 455 units distributed. Of that distribution, 353 units were retail sales to consumers. The position places it above several global brands such as DFSK, Citroen, BAIC, Lexus, Ford, Mini, Changan, Nissan, Subaru, Volkswagen, and Audi. Meanwhile, based on retail sales, Polytron ranked 39th, just above Volvo, Changan, and Audi. All Polytron products, G3 and G3+, are currently assembled at PT Handal Indonesia Motor (HIM) in Purwakarta, West Java. Throughout 2025, total production of Polytron electric cars reached 531 units, and as of January 2026, 154 units had been produced. Technically, the G3 and G3+ measure 4,720 mm in length, 1,908 mm in width, 1,696 mm in height, and a wheelbase of 2,800 mm, yielding a boot capacity of 1,141 litres. In performance terms, the vehicles are equipped with a lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery with a capacity of 51.9 kWh. The electric motor delivers 150 kW of power and 320 Nm of torque. Polytron claims a driving range of 402 kilometres under the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). The maximum speed is 150 km/h with a 0-100 km/h acceleration time of around 9.6 seconds.
