Polysindo's coating division

JAKARTA (JP): Publicly listed PT Polysindo Eka Perkasa,
Indonesia's largest integrated textile producer, announced
Saturday a commissioning of its coating division for the
manufacture of its waterproof fabrics and breathable fabrics.

It said that the commissioning of its coating division for the
manufacture of Polyutherane (PU) coated fabrics and polyvinyl
chloride (PVC) coated fabrics, would help boost its exports.

The two facilities, built at an estimated cost of US$70
million, are set to enable Polysindo to register additional
annual export sales of over $100 million.

It said its export earning was expected to increase to $1
billion by 2000 due to the commissioning of its high-value export
oriented products. (gis)
