Poltracking Urges Prabowo-Gibran to Expand Job Opportunities and Strengthen People's Economy

Pollster Poltracking Indonesia is urging the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka to immediately expand employment opportunities. With a public trust level of 63.2 percent, Poltracking believes that expanding job opportunities could potentially strengthen the people’s economy.

Poltracking Indonesia Executive Director Hanta Yuda emphasised that expanding employment would certainly strengthen economic activity in society. According to him, this is crucial for bolstering the people’s economy.

“For the long term, the government needs to expand job opportunities and prevent layoffs because this is the main driver of the people’s economy,” Hanta said in his presentation titled Reading Public Satisfaction Trends Towards the Prabowo-Gibran Administration, broadcast on Poltracking TV’s YouTube channel on Monday (31/8/2026).

In addition, Hanta said the government also needs to postpone all forms of cost increases. By delaying any increases, the government opens opportunities for people’s purchasing power to grow and develop.

“The government needs to hold back all forms of cost increases, whether tax increases, fuel price hikes, toll tariff increases, and any other increases that directly impact purchasing power and economic pressure on families,” he continued.

The Poltracking survey shows that 51.6 percent of the public currently considers the government unsuccessful in creating jobs, and 57.3 percent stated the government has not succeeded in reducing unemployment. This signals that the difficulty of finding employment is a contributing factor to the economic hardship faced by the public.

Nevertheless, the public still holds high hopes for the Prabowo-Gibran administration. They believe the government can quickly improve by providing jobs and repairing family economic conditions.

“On the other hand, the public has great expectations for the government to provide employment and ‘rescue’ family economic conditions,” Hanta said.
