Poltracking Survey: Prabowo-Gibran Programmes Receive Positive Response from Farmers and Fishermen
The level of public satisfaction with the administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka remains at a solid level. Findings from a Poltracking Indonesia survey indicate that farmers, fishermen, and livestock breeders are the segments of society providing the most positive assessments of the government’s performance.
The survey results show variations in satisfaction levels based on the respondents’ professional backgrounds, illustrating which groups are perceived to be reaping the most benefits from various government programmes. “As many as 76.1 per cent of farmers, fishermen, and livestock breeders tend to be satisfied with the performance of the Prabowo Subianto and Gibran Rakabuming Raka administration,” stated Yoki Alvetro.
The high level of appreciation from the farming, fishing, and livestock sectors reflects a positive response to policies targeting the food sector and the people’s economy. This group represents the layer of society with the highest satisfaction rate compared to other occupational categories.
The survey, conducted between 11-17 May 2026, also noted that the majority of occupational groups provided positive assessments of the Prabowo-Gibran administration. Satisfaction levels among housewives reached 73.3 per cent, while labourers, drivers, conductors, temporary workers, and those currently unemployed or seeking work stood at 72.8 per cent.
Positive assessments were also observed among small traders, officials, entrepreneurs, self-employed individuals, and professionals, recording a satisfaction rate of 73 per cent. Meanwhile, students and university students stood at 72.2 per cent, while teachers, private sector employees, State-Owned Enterprise (SOE) employees, and civil servants reached 58.8 per cent.
On the other hand, the survey also found groups of society with more balanced views on government performance. Respondents from the retired group were the segment with a relatively even split between those satisfied and dissatisfied.
“Retirees, at 50.8 per cent, tend to be balanced between those expressing satisfaction and dissatisfaction with the government’s performance,” he noted.
In addition to mapping satisfaction by profession, the survey measured general public perception of the Prabowo-Gibran administration. The results show that the majority of the public still provides a positive assessment of the administration’s progress to date.
“As many as 72.2 per cent of the public say they are satisfied with the performance of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka, while 25.1 per cent of the public say they are dissatisfied,” he concluded.
