Poltracking Survey: Prabowo, Dedi Mulyadi, and Anies as Top Three Presidential Candidates
The results of the Poltracking Indonesia survey still record President Prabowo Subianto’s name at the top of the presidential candidate (capres) electability survey. Prabowo recorded an electability of 32.9 per cent, surpassing other names. West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi, competing with Anies Baswedan, has an electability of 13.5 per cent compared to 9.2 per cent. The survey posed the question, “If the election were held today, who would you choose as President of the Republic of Indonesia?” Below the top three, in order, are Gibran Rakabuming with 4.2 per cent electability, Ganjar Pranowo at 2.6 per cent, and Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) at 1.9 per cent in sixth place. For the vice-presidential candidate survey, Gibran is in the top position with 26.8 per cent electability, followed by Dedi Mulyadi at 8.9 per cent, Mahfud at 4.3 per cent, AHY at 3.8 per cent, and Anies at 3.1 per cent. Gerindra leads PDIP. Poltracking also conducted a survey on political party electability. In that survey, the Gerindra Party is in the top position and far ahead of PDIP with 26.1 per cent electability. In second place, PDIP received 15.4 per cent electability, followed by Golkar at 9.0 per cent, PKB at 8.1 per cent, PKS at 5.9 per cent, Democratic Party at 5.6 per cent, NasDem at 5.5 per cent, and PAN at 2.0 per cent. The Poltracking survey was conducted over a week from 2-8 March 2025 with 1,220 respondents spread across all provinces through face-to-face interviews. Respondents were selected randomly using the multistage random sampling method, with a margin of error of +/- 2.9 per cent at a 95 per cent confidence level.
