Poltracking Survey: MBG Highly Popular and Phenomenal, 55.5 Percent of Public Satisfied

Poltracking Indonesia has released the latest survey results regarding public knowledge and satisfaction with the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme. Based on the survey conducted from 2 to 8 March 2026, it shows that 88 percent of the public knows about this MBG programme. However, the public satisfaction level for this MBG programme is only at 55.5 percent. “We also delved into the priority MBG programme. So from this data, 88 percent of the public knows about this highly popular and phenomenal programme. However, those satisfied with this programme are at 55.5 percent,” said Chief Researcher of Poltracking Indonesia, Masduri Amrawi, on Monday, 13 April 2026. Masduri stated that the government must improve strategic communication to significantly increase public acceptance of this flagship programme of Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto. “This means the government needs to carry out strategic communication to increase public acceptance of Free Nutritious Meals so that the satisfaction level with government performance related to the MBG programme runs well,” he said. In addition, Masduri also urged the government to pay attention to various notes and inputs regarding the MBG programme. Thus, the programme can run better. “The most fundamental thing is to improve various notes and inputs that so far we see are very numerous regarding this MBG programme,” he concluded.
