A Poltracking Indonesia survey records that the free nutritious meals programme (MBG) has become the main pillar supporting the level of public satisfaction with the performance of the government of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka.

“The reason the public is satisfied with the Prabowo-Gibran government, 23% is supported by satisfaction with MBG,” said Poltracking Indonesia’s Chief Researcher Masduri Amrawi in the release presentation on Monday (13/4).

Then, following MBG, there is targeted aid at 13.8% and firm and authoritative leadership at 10.2%.

Masduri assessed that amid controversies and differing views related to the MBG programme, it has actually received quite good attention from the public in general.

In addition to supporting satisfaction, MBG has also become the programme whose benefits are most felt by the community, with a recognition level of 36.5%, surpassing several other priority programmes such as wage subsidy assistance (BSU), free health services, the Indonesia Smart Card (KIP), and the Indonesia Health Card (KIS).
