Polri's Research and Development Centre Inspects Gianyar 1 SPPG, Focusing on MBG Quality
SPPG Gianyar 1, located in the Tampaksiring Police Sector area, Tampaksiring Subdistrict, Gianyar Regency, was visited by the National Police Research and Development Centre (Puslitbang) team. The inspection was carried out to improve the quality and performance of Polri in meeting the needs of free nutritious meals for students.
“The National Police Research and Development Centre (Puslitbang) team carried out research activities at SPPG Gianyar 1,” said the Head of the Polri Puslitbang Team, Brigadier General Ruddi Setiawan, in his statement on Tuesday (5/5/2026).
Ruddi explained that the inspection covered the facilities of SPPG Gianyar 1, including checks on kitchen equipment and infrastructure. The team also assessed operational feasibility and identified existing shortcomings.
In addition, quality supervision was conducted through technical inspections of the equipment used. The research results will serve as strategic recommendations to support sustainable Polri reforms.
“The activity proceeded safely, orderly, and smoothly, and is expected to provide positive contributions to improving the quality of public services, particularly in the jurisdiction of the Gianyar Police Resort,” said Ruddi.
In addition to examining the feasibility of equipment and infrastructure at SPPG Gianyar 1, the team also held interactive dialogues with junior high school students, mothers with toddlers, and breastfeeding mothers regarding the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.
This activity aimed to directly absorb public aspirations, particularly regarding food menu quality and challenges faced. The results are expected to serve as material for evaluation and programme refinement.
“As an effort by Polri to improve service quality to the public. And to study various strategic issues, including the level of public trust in the Polri institution,” he said.
