Polri is urging the public to be cautious regarding potential scams involving promises of passing the 2026 Police Academy (Akpol) recruitment in exchange for certain payments. Polri requests that the public report any such incidents immediately.

Polri’s Head of Public Relations Division, Johnny Eddizon Isir, emphasised that the Akpol selection process is conducted only through one official channel, namely the regular pathway. He assured that there are no special quotas in any form.

“If there are parties offering or promising that participants can be accepted through special quotas, do not entertain them; just ignore them,” said Johnny at Polri Headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (7/4/2026).

He also reminded the public not to be tempted by offers of guaranteed admission accompanied by demands for money. According to him, such practices constitute fraud that must be guarded against.

“Do not respond if there are other parties promising that participants will be accepted and graduate from Akpol through special quotas, especially with promises of payment,” he urged.

“If you have already responded or even paid, please report it,” he stressed.

Polri has opened several complaint channels for the public, including through the Polri Professional and Security Division (Propam), the recruitment hotline at 0821-1685-877, as well as official reports to Bareskrim or the Criminal Investigation Directorate at local Polda.

Johnny assured that every report will be followed up in accordance with regulations. If the violation involves Polri members, it will be processed through disciplinary mechanisms and the code of ethics by Propam.

Meanwhile, if it involves civilians, law enforcement proceedings will be carried out. Furthermore, he emphasised that the recruitment of Akpol cadets is an important part of preparing future Polri leaders.

“This recruitment is projected to become Polri leaders in 25-30 years ahead facing task challenges. Therefore, the current recruitment process is through one channel, namely the regular pathway,” he added.

Polri once again urges the public not to easily believe promises of admission outside official mechanisms and to actively report any indications of irregularities in the recruitment process.
