Polri Traffic Corps Halts One-Way Traffic from KM 414 to KM 263

The Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps (Korlantas Polri) has halted the one-way traffic arrangement from KM 414 at the Kalikangkung Toll Gate (GT) in Semarang to KM 263 on the Pejagan-Pemalang Toll Road. This cessation is due to monitored low traffic volumes in the return flow to Jakarta. “Around 12:00 WIB, we will open it for normal two lanes heading to Jakarta, including for residents from Pejagan heading to Semarang,” said the Head of Korlantas Polri, Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho, after inspecting the Security Post at Sukoharjo Police Resort in Central Java on Wednesday. He added that the socialisation of the one-way halt began at 10:00 WIB, followed by the sterilisation process of the lanes. Meanwhile, he continued, the one-way system from KM 263 on the Pejagan-Pemalang Toll to KM 70 on the Cikampek Main Toll is still in effect. “This is to manage the flow at Cikampek to avoid congestion. Therefore, up to now in Cikampek, we are still implementing several measures,” he stated. On Tuesday (24/3), Korlantas Polri officially enforced the national one-way traffic arrangement from KM 414 to KM 70. The implementation was officially opened by the National Police Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, along with the Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture Pratikno, Minister of Transportation Dudy Purwagandhi, Minister of Health Budi Gunadi Sadikin, and several related institutions. The National Police Chief stated that the one-way system is enforced from KM 414 GT Kalikangkung Semarang to KM 70 GT Cikampek Main. After the Cikampek Main GT, he continued, traffic arrangements will be made to prevent congestion towards Jakarta.
