The Head of the Indonesian National Police Traffic Corps, Irjen Agus Suryonugroho, continues to monitor the Lebaran 2026 mudik traffic flow. Irjen Agus predicts that the peak mudik traffic on toll roads will occur from Wednesday, 18 March 2026, night until Thursday, 19 March 2026, early morning.

“And tonight we are traversing the toll road. Possibly compared to yesterday, the peak mudik traffic might be tonight (Wednesday). From this morning until tonight, it has been quite dense,” said Irjen Agus to reporters at the command centre at KM 29 of the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, North Cikarang, Thursday (19/3/2026) early morning.

Irjen Agus stated that the traffic situation on the Japek Toll remains dense until Thursday early morning. He hopes the density can be cleared by Thursday morning.

“And today, this morning (Thursday early morning) it is quite dense. Hopefully, by morning it can flow. And on several sections in Cikampek, we have also implemented contraflow,” he said.

Irjen Agus mentioned that the police have implemented a national one-way system up to Pejagan, Central Java. This is followed by a local one-way from Km 414 Kalikangkung to Ungaran. He hopes that the implementation of this traffic engineering can accelerate the clearing of density.

“Hopefully with the national one-way that was flagged off earlier (Wednesday, 18 March) at 12.30 WIB up to Pejagan, Central Java, we monitor it as quite controlled. Central Java is implementing a local one-way from kilometre 414 towards Ungaran. Still quite controlled. So the flow from Jakarta towards Trans Java is quite dense but controlled, still smooth,” he said.
