Jakarta, VIVA – Kakorlantas Polri Irjen Agus Suryonugroho has emphasised the importance of professionalism, digitalisation, and humane service to all Korlantas Polri personnel in supporting Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo’s priority programmes and realising security, safety, order, and smooth traffic in Indonesia.

In his directives to the ranks of personnel, Agus reminded that every leadership policy must be elaborated concretely down to the field implementers. According to him, all personnel must be able to translate every instruction into tangible steps felt by the public.

“Regarding the achievement of the Police Chief’s goals, which I always follow, to elaborate on the five major agendas. We are confident that when one leadership order is given, colleagues can elaborate more than 10 steps,” said Agus.

Agus stated that Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo’s directives for the “Polantas Menyapa dan Melayani” programme must continue to be strengthened across all sub-sectors, from registration and identification (Regident), law enforcement (Gakkum), to security and safety (Kamsel).

According to him, all these programmes converge on one main goal, namely creating traffic that is safe, secure, orderly, and smooth.

Agus also asked the ranks to continue developing digitalisation of services and system transformation within the Korlantas Polri environment. Several programmes that are a focus include the revitalisation of the Intelligent Safety Driving Centre (ISDC), development of the Smart City concept, and strengthening technology-based law enforcement systems.

“Digitalisation in Korlantas is quite good. Each work unit already has everything. It just needs to be continuously highlighted and improved,” he said.

In addition, Korlantas Polri is also continuing to strengthen the humane approach through collaboration with online motorcycle taxi communities, campuses, schools, Islamic boarding schools, and cross-sector stakeholders through the concept of the five pillars of safety.

In his directives, Agus also asked all ranks to promote Traffic Safety Day, commemorated every September. He hopes that educational activities such as safety riding can be optimised again to increase public awareness of riding safety.

In the field of law enforcement, Agus encouraged digital transformation through the implementation of ETLE, facial recognition, and various other modern systems. He also asked all ranks to continue promoting the narrative of modern service and digitalisation in every coordination or cross-institutional forum.
