Polri Traffic Corps Chief Attends Polantas Menyapa Event in Gianyar

Head of the Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) of the Indonesian National Police (Polri), Inspector General Agus Surya Nugroho, attended the ‘Polantas Menyapa’ event at Balai Banjar Kebalian, Sukawati Village, Gianyar, on Thursday (6 March 2026). The event carried the theme ‘Nyepi Safe, Homecoming Comfortable, Tolerance Maintained, Bali Remains Congenial’. The presence of Kakorlantas demonstrates Polri’s seriousness in maintaining security and public order, especially because Nyepi this year falls close to the takbiran (the eve of Eid al-Fitr). Agus is proud of Bali’s adat security system through pecalang. He says pecalang’s presence is a local strength in maintaining public order, including during major religious celebrations.
