Polri Shake-Up: List of Nine Provincial Police Chiefs Replaced
The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has once again undertaken a reorganisation of its ranks, involving rotations and transfers of several high- and mid-level officials. Among these, nine provincial police chiefs have been replaced.
This reshuffle was carried out via Police Chief Telegram No. ST/960/V/KEP./2026 regarding Dismissals from and Appointments to Positions within Polri, signed directly by Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo on 7 May 2026.
Polri’s Head of Public Relations Division, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that job mutations are part of the career development process and organisational strengthening within Polri.
“Job mutations and rotations are natural occurrences within the Polri organisation. They form part of career development, organisational refreshment, and efforts to enhance personnel professionalism in facing increasingly dynamic operational challenges,” said Johnny in a written statement.
Here is the list of the nine replaced provincial police chiefs:
West Sumatra Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Gatot Tri Suryantana has been transferred and replaced by North Kalimantan Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Djati Wiyoto.
North Kalimantan Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Djati Wiyoto has been transferred and replaced by Head of the Professional and Security Division’s Education and Training Centre, Brigadier General Agus Wijayanto.
West Java Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Rudi Setiawan has been transferred and replaced by West Kalimantan Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Pipit.
West Kalimantan Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Pipit has been replaced by Inspector General Alberd Teddy Benhard Sianipar.
North Maluku Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Waris Agono has been replaced by Deputy Commander of Mobile Brigade Corps II, Brigadier General Arif Budiman.
West Nusa Tenggara Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Edy Murbowo has been replaced by Head of the Community Guidance Corps in the Maritime Security and Safety Agency, Inspector General Kalingga Rendra Raharja.
Bengkulu Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Mardiyono has been transferred and replaced by Head of the Criminal Investigation Agency’s Community Relations Division, Brigadier General Yudhi Sulistianto Wahid.
Southeast Sulawesi Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Didik Agung Widjanarko has been transferred and replaced by Head of the Cyber Crime Directorate in the Criminal Investigation Agency, Brigadier General Himawan Bayu Aji.
Central Sulawesi Provincial Police Chief Inspector General Endi Sutendi has been transferred and replaced by Deputy South Sulawesi Provincial Police Chief, Brigadier General Nasri.
