JAKARTA - The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has revealed that an Indonesian citizen (WNI), arrested in connection with an international online gambling (judol) network at Hayam Wuruk Plaza Tower in Jakarta, previously worked in Cambodia.

“The individual is a former or previous employee in Cambodia. So, he came here (to Jakarta) and is working here again,” stated the Director of General Criminal Acts (Dirtipidum) of the National Police Criminal Investigation Agency (Bareskrim) Polri, Brigadier General Pol Wira Satya Triputra, in Jakarta on Sunday (10/5/2026), quoted from Antara.

This information was obtained after police examined the Indonesian national.

“The role of the Indonesian national will still be further investigated, but for now, he is certainly a customer service representative,” he said.

Previously, on Saturday (9/5/2026), Polri arrested 321 people in connection with the criminal act of international online gambling.

The 320 foreign nationals arrested consisted of 228 Vietnamese citizens, 57 Chinese citizens, 13 Myanmar citizens, 11 Laotian citizens, five Thai citizens, three Malaysian citizens, and three Cambodian citizens.

Meanwhile, the other individual is an Indonesian national and is being further processed at Bareskrim Polri.
