Polri Public Relations Technical Meeting 2026 Strengthens Public Communication in the Digital Era
The Technical Working Meeting (Rakernis) for Polri Public Relations for the 2026 Fiscal Year officially commenced today, Tuesday (14/4), in Jakarta. This event serves as a strategic forum to strengthen the public relations function of Polri in addressing the increasingly complex dynamics of public information in the digital era.
The Rakernis for Polri Public Relations 2026 adopts the theme “Optimising Public Communication and Media Management, Polri Public Relations Precisely Prepared to Successfully Implement the Polri Work Plan and Government in Realising the President of the Republic of Indonesia’s Asta Cita Programme for 2026.”
The event is attended by Polri Public Relations personnel both in person and online, from the national headquarters level to regional units.
To enhance public relations capacity, the Rakernis for Polri Public Relations 2026 also includes a series of activities, from briefing sessions by internal and external resource persons to panel discussions addressing strategic issues in public communication.
In his opening remarks, the Head of the Polri Public Relations Division, Inspector General of Police Johnny Eddizon Isir, emphasised the strategic role of public relations in maintaining information stability and increasing public trust in the Polri institution.
“In the era of digital technology and artificial intelligence, the speed of information must be balanced with truth. Polri Public Relations must be at the forefront in ensuring that the public not only receives information quickly but also receives accurate information,” stated Inspector General of Police Johnny Eddizon Isir.
He also stressed that Polri Public Relations plays a crucial role as the spearhead of public communication, not only disseminating information but also building a positive image of the institution sustainably. According to him, future challenges will become increasingly complex with the rapid development of technology and the rising potential for disinformation in the digital space.
This Rakernis also serves as a momentum for evaluating performance, aligning perceptions, and formulating more adaptive, professional, and data-based public communication strategies. Furthermore, the event is expected to enhance the capacity of Polri Public Relations personnel in managing both conventional and digital media.
Through the Rakernis for Polri Public Relations 2026, it is hoped that stronger synergy among public relations units will be established, along with the optimisation of media management in shaping constructive public opinion, increasing transparency, and strengthening public trust in Polri.
