Polri Precision Free Homecoming 2026 Transports 4,009 People
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Polri transported 4,009 people using 81 bus units in the Mudik Gratis Polri Presisi 2026 programme, held at the Ditlantas Field of Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, on Wednesday. Chief of Police General Pol Listyo Sigit Prabowo stated that this year’s homecoming programme prioritised services for two provinces, namely those heading to Central Java and the Special Region of Yogyakarta. “For this departure, there are 81 buses and 4,009 passengers undertaking the homecoming. The registration itself started three days ago at the samsat offices in each polres,” Listyo said. Before departure, he explained that they had implemented standard operational procedures (SOP) to ensure a safe and smooth journey. “So, we conducted checks, starting from urine tests, then alcohol tests, and also tests related to drugs that might endanger,” Listyo stated. Furthermore, he emphasised that all bus fleets carrying the homecomers had undergone roadworthiness tests (ramp check) before use. Nevertheless, he said the accident rate during this Eid al-Fitr homecoming period had significantly decreased by 40.91 per cent, or 682 cases, from the previous year. “Alhamdulillah, hopefully we can maintain this figure until the end of the homecoming and return series,” Listyo expressed. He also advised all homecomers not to overexert themselves and to prioritise safety over speed in reaching their destinations. He also asked the public not to push themselves if tired and to utilise the security posts and service posts provided along the homecoming routes. “There are Security Posts, Service Posts, and Integrated Posts so that the public who want to rest can do so there. Facilities for resting, health checks, including if they want to eat, whether for breaking the fast or suhoor, or refuelling, have been prepared,” Listyo said.
