Polri Hands Over 378 Subsidised Houses in Southeast Sulawesi, Supporting the National Priority of 3 Million Houses Programme
Kolaka, VIVA – The commitment to provide decent housing for the public has once again been realised by the Indonesian National Police through the handover of hundreds of subsidised housing units in Southeast Sulawesi. This programme forms part of the support for the national agenda initiated by Prabowo Subianto, particularly in providing three million homes for Indonesians.
The handover of the houses took place symbolically on Tuesday, 21 April 2026, in Kolaka Regency, Southeast Sulawesi. The event was led directly by the Deputy Chief of the Indonesian National Police, Dedi Prasetyo, who inaugurated 378 subsidised type-36 housing units for Polri Civil Servants (PNPP) and the general public.
This housing programme encompasses the construction of homes in several strategic areas in Southeast Sulawesi. The details include:
Kalifah Residence in South Konawe: 186 units
Sultra Hills Residence in Kendari City: 28 units
Kaba Residence in Kendari City: 164 units
These three areas were selected to support the equitable distribution of decent housing for the public and police apparatus who require affordable and comfortable accommodation.
The programme represents a concrete step to meet the basic needs of the public, particularly in home ownership. Furthermore, the provision of decent housing is considered to have a significant impact on social stability and family welfare.
In his speech, the Deputy Chief of Police emphasised that this housing programme is not only intended for Polri employees but is also open to the wider public.
“This housing programme is a tangible form of Polri’s support for President Prabowo’s Asta Cita as a national priority, particularly in providing 3 million homes. Today, Polri is handing over housing not only for PNPP but also for the public, so that the benefits can be felt widely,” the Deputy Chief of Police stated firmly.
Based on data as of January 2026, the number of Polri Civil Servants totals 491,808 personnel. Of this number, the majority already own homes, but some still lack personal housing.
The details show that approximately 355,760 personnel or 72.4 percent already own homes. Meanwhile, 63,611 personnel or 12.9 percent still live in official residences. Additionally, there are 38,397 personnel or 7.8 percent who do not own homes at all.
