Polri Emphasises That Akpol Recruitment is Only Through Regular Channel, No Special Quotas
Polri has emphasised that the recruitment process for cadets and female cadets at the Police Academy (Akpol) is conducted solely through one channel, namely the regular channel. Polri assures that there are no special quotas in any form.
The Head of Public Relations Division of Polri, Inspector General Johnny Eddizon Isir, stated that the integrated Polri recruitment for 2026 continues to prioritise the principles of cleanliness, transparency, accountability, and humanity. This aligns with the directives of Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.
“Clean means conducted objectively, honestly, fairly, and free from corruption, collusion, and nepotism. Transparent means open and involving internal and external oversight. Accountable means the process and results of Polri member admissions can be held accountable,” said Johnny at Polri Headquarters in South Jakarta on Tuesday (7/4/2026).
He added that every selection stage is also carried out while upholding human rights and a friendly attitude towards participants.
Specifically, Johnny emphasised that the admission of Akpol cadets does not provide special channels outside the official mechanism. Therefore, the public is urged not to believe parties promising success through certain channels, especially in exchange for money.
“If there are parties offering or promising that participants can be accepted through special quotas, do not respond to them, just ignore,” he said.
If any members of the public have already responded to such potential scams, Johnny requested that they report it to the police station. Polri also opens complaint channels for the public who find cheating practices, either through the Propam Division, the recruitment hotline, or official reports to Bareskrim.
“If anyone has already responded, please report it. It can be complained about through the Polri Propam QR code. Then it can be complained about through the recruitment process hotline at number 08211685877,” he said.
For information, the 2026 Akpol Recruitment is currently ongoing, entering the next selection stage after the online registration has closed.
Johnny explained that the number of online applicants for Akpol cadets in 2024 reached 7,988 people. From that number, 5,432 participants have passed verification and are eligible to proceed to the next selection stages.
According to him, this recruitment process is an important part in preparing future Polri leaders.
“This recruitment is projected to become Polri leaders in the next 25-30 years facing task challenges. Therefore, the current recruitment process through one channel, namely the regular channel,” he said.
