A man identified as DADS (19), who was reported for distributing explicit photos of his ex-girlfriend, is no longer a Police Cadet (Casis). The resident of Pujut District, Central Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), has resigned.

“Yes, he has resigned as a cadet,” said NTB Provincial Police Public Affairs Chief, Senior Commissioner Mohammad Kholid, on Friday (29 May 2026).

The case of distributing pornographic photos is being handled by the Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) of Central Lombok Police. Investigators are currently gathering evidence.

“The legal process is ongoing,” he added.

Central Lombok Police Criminal Investigation Unit Chief, Assistant Commissioner Punguan Hutahaean, said the case has now entered the investigation stage.

“The handling status is in the investigation stage. We are currently awaiting the results of data extraction from the suspect’s phone,” Punguan Hutahaean told detikBali on Tuesday (19 May 2026).

Meanwhile, Public Affairs Section Chief of Central Lombok Police, Inspector Lalu Brata Kusnadi, said the case came to light after the victim, identified as RSS, reported DADS for allegedly distributing her private photos without consent.

According to the victim’s statement, Brata explained that the alleged photo sharing occurred following a personal dispute between the two. The victim’s photos were reportedly shared on a social media platform.

Brata stressed that police will handle the case professionally in accordance with applicable laws. If found guilty, the suspect could face charges under the Electronic Information and Transactions Law (UU ITE) concerning the distribution of obscene content.

“We urge the public to use social media responsibly and not misuse technology to harm others. Any illegal act will be processed in accordance with applicable regulations,” he concluded.
