The Polri Assessment Center is exploring cooperation with the Trenggalek Regency Government through a socialisation event held at the Smart Center room in Trenggalek Regency. The event was attended by several heads of regional device organisations (OPD) as well as main officials from the Trenggalek Police Resort.

The Head of the Polri Assessment Center Team, Senior Commissioner Wiwit Adisatria, stated that assessment is an important instrument in supporting a merit-based human resource management system. This system is considered to play a role in compiling talent pools, job promotions, and career development to realise a professional and precise organisation.

“The Polri Assessment Center has already cooperated with 18 SOEs and regional SOEs, 9 provincial governments, and approximately 100 regencies/cities throughout Indonesia,” he said.

In his presentation, Wiwit also conveyed several achievements attained by the Polri Assessment Center. Among them is accreditation in category “A” from the National Civil Service Agency (BKN) for state organiser eligibility standards.

Then, the MURI Record award for the category of internal assessment with the most assistance in five years, the “A” category public service predicate, and ISO 9001:2015 certification for quality management systems.

He explained that several main competencies that are the focus of the assessment, both for civil servants (ASN) and police members, include integrity, teamwork, communication, results orientation, public service, self-development and others, change management, and decision-making.

In addition, the Polri Assessment Center is also supported by adequate facilities, such as a command centre room, four discussion rooms, 11 interview rooms, as well as supporting facilities for persons with disabilities, breastfeeding mothers, a children’s play area, and a waiting room.

Regarding the cooperation mechanism, Wiwit explained that the process is relatively simple. Interested institutions only need to submit a request letter for assistance, prepare the main and technical cooperation scripts, design the assessment, and sign the cooperation agreement (PKS).

The next stages include implementing the assessment, processing and analysing results, delivering recommendations, and evaluating the cooperation.

The Trenggalek Police Chief, AKBP Ridwan Maliki, who also attended the event, assessed that cooperation with the Polri Assessment Center has several strategic benefits. According to him, strengthening the quality of human resources becomes a key factor for the success of organisations in facing various challenges.

“The HR aspect is certainly an important factor, so that organisations or institutions can run well and be able to answer every challenge with better quality performance,” he said.
