Polres Kepulauan Seribu Distributes 58 Sacrificial Animals to Island Residents
Polres Kepulauan Seribu distributed dozens of sacrificial animals for the celebration of Eid al-Adha 1447 Hijriah. The cattle and goats were allocated to coastal island residents.
This year’s Eid al-Adha saw Polres Kepulauan Seribu prepare 21 cattle and 16 goats for distribution to local communities, island residents, military personnel, places of worship, journalists, and police stations under its jurisdiction. The distribution aimed to share joy and strengthen harmonious ties with the public.
Eleven cattle were distributed to Yon Arhanudbay, inhabited islands, North Thousand Islands Police Station, Harapan Island, and South Thousand Islands Police Station. Additionally, 10 goats were allocated to JKS journalists, DKI journalists, JJU journalists, Koramil, Pademangan Musalla, Hudalilmutaqin Kalibaru Musalla, Al-Muktamar Kalibaru Mosque, and North Thousand Islands Police Station.
Polres Kepulauan Seribu Chief AKBP Argadija Putra stated that Eid al-Adha is an opportunity to enhance sincerity, sacrifice, and social concern for others.
‘Through this qurban activity, we aim to share benefits and happiness with the community. May the spirit of Eid al-Adha further strengthen bonds of kinship, togetherness, and closeness between the Indonesian National Police and the public,’ said AKBP Argadija in a statement on Wednesday (27 May 2026).
Prior to this, Polres Kepulauan Seribu held Eid al-Adha prayers at Baitu Jannah Mosque in Marina Ancol, North Jakarta. The solemn and communal event was attended by Polres personnel and local residents.
Police Chief AKBP Argadija Putra, along with senior Polres officials, personnel, and residents, participated in the Eid prayers. The occasion was used to strengthen kinship and enhance spiritual and social welfare values.
Following the prayers, the event continued with the slaughter of sacrificial animals. Police Chief AKBP Argadija Putra symbolically performed the slaughter as an expression of gratitude and concern for the community.
