Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto invited the chairmen of Islamic mass organizations, the leaders of pesantren (Islamic boarding schools), and also mubalighs to gather for a social visit at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Thursday. Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning (ATR) and simultaneously the Chairman of the MUI Disaster Management Bureau of the MUI for 2025–2030, Nusron Wahid, and MUI Chairman Muhammad Anwar Iskandar arrived at around 15:50 WIB.

Jakarta — Deputy Chairman of the DPR RI Commission X Lalu Hadrian Irfani called on the central government to intervene to assist local governments in paying the salaries of part-time PPPK teachers because payments are often late; at present they have not received salaries. He said the issue of delays and uncertainty in PPPK part-time teachers’ salary payments should not continue. The state, he said, must ensure the welfare of teachers who have contributed to educating the nation.

Jakarta — Iman Sukri, a member of Commission I of the DPR, urged the government to impose stern sanctions on the tech giant Meta due to the low level of compliance by Facebook, Instagram, and WhatsApp with national regulations, particularly in eradicating online gambling content and digital crime in Indonesia. He said a global platform like Meta cannot feel above the law when operating in Indonesia. He added that neglect of national rules risks turning the digital space into fertile ground for illegal activities that harm the wider public.

Jakarta — President Prabowo Subianto has sent a condolence letter expressing sympathy over the death of Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in the US-Israel attack on Iran. Secretary of the Cabinet Teddy Indra Wijaya said the official letter written by the President is addressed to Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian ahead of Ali Khamenei’s funeral soon in Mashhad, a holy city and the second-largest city in Iran.
