- Kopassus: Report of Slapping by Kopassus Commander is a Hoax
The Indonesian Army Special Forces Command (Kopassus) has denied a social media post regarding an alleged slapping incident carried out by Kopassus Commander Lieutenant General TNI Djon Afriandi against someone at the State Palace.
The official Instagram account of Kopassus public relations, @penkopassus, posted a video containing a statement that the slapping-related post is a hoax.
- Defence Minister and Retired Military Officers Discuss US Aircraft Overflight Permissions
Defence Minister Sjafrie Sjamsoeddin and retired TNI personnel discussed the Letter of Intent (LoI) or statement of intent regarding overflight permissions submitted by the United States.
The discussion took place when Sjafrie gathered retirees, most of whom are former TNI Commanders and chiefs of staff, at the Ministry of Defence office in Central Jakarta on Friday.
- Prabowo Leads Limited Meeting on Accelerating Giant Sea Wall in North Coast Java
President Prabowo Subianto chaired a limited meeting (ratas) at the Presidential Palace in Jakarta on Monday to discuss accelerating the construction of the giant sea wall along the north coast (Pantura) of Java Island.
Head of the Java North Coast Management Authority (BOPPJ) Rear Admiral TNI (Ret.) Didit Herdiawan Ashaf, when met after the meeting, explained that the meeting delved into development plans.
- Ministry of Defence Ensures 1,773 Civil Servants Ready for Komcad Training
The Ministry of Defence (Kemhan) has confirmed that 1,773 civil servants (ASN) are ready to undergo training as prospective reserve components (komcad) at six TNI education sites.
This was stated by the Head of the National Reserve Agency of the Ministry of Defence, Lieutenant General TNI Gabriel Lema, when opening the ASN komcad training ceremony at Halim Perdanakusuma Air Base in East Jakarta on Wednesday.
- House of Representatives Approves RUU PPRT to Become Law
The 17th Plenary Session of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) for the Fourth Session Period of 2025–2026 approved the Domestic Workers Protection Bill (RUU PPRT) to be enacted as law.
“Can the Domestic Workers Protection Bill be approved to be enacted as law?” asked DPR RI Speaker Puan Maharani in Senayan, Jakarta, on Tuesday, which was answered “agreed” by the session participants.
