Politicians should create peace
Politicians should create peace
From Forum Keadilan
Supporting or rejecting certain decisions or policies adopted
by the government, institutions or parties is normal in an
atmosphere of democracy. The same is true in the political life
of Indonesia today.
In recent months we have witnessed the emergence of various
forums voicing their disappointment at the government's
performance and refusing to support government policies.
Meanwhile, the ordinary people struggling for daily survival
are fed up with all the talk of those above who act in the name
of the general public. We often wonder if they really convey
public aspirations or have some other purposes. Even people's
representatives paid by the public to serve the interests of
society sometimes fail in their mission.
Therefore, as citizens we only hope that all the leaders at
different levels can create an air of peace and tranquility to
allow us all to work properly and enjoy every moment of life in
this country. They should give up personal, group and even party
interests for the sake of the nation and state as well as future
generations.
