The Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR) approved the International Financial Centre (PFII) Bill, passing it into law. The decision was taken during a plenary session led by House Speaker Puan Maharani, who asked for faction approval, to which all factions agreed. Prior to the approval, Deputy Chairman of Commission XI Mohamad Hekal delivered the working committee’s report on the bill.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi stated that President Prabowo Subianto will soon sign a Presidential Decree on the appointment of the Junior Attorney General for Special Crimes. He estimated the decree would be signed within one to two days following discussions by the Final Assessment Team.

Defence analyst Hanif Rahadian from the Strategic Defence Studies Institute (Keris) urged the Indonesian Military (TNI) to remain focused on its primary duty of strengthening national defence, even as it participates in food security programmes. He stressed that support for food security initiatives should not detract from the TNI’s strategic role in addressing increasingly complex defence threats.

Minister of State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi reaffirmed the government’s commitment to transforming the national vehicle ecosystem towards new and renewable energy. He highlighted plans to build a national electric motorcycle factory as a strategic step to boost domestic production, expressing confidence that Indonesia can achieve its goals with strong will.

Prasetyo Hadi also explained the seating arrangement at the previous day’s Plenary Cabinet Session, where President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka did not sit side by side. He clarified that the layout was due to technical requirements, as the President needed to use a teleprompter to support his extensive presentation of programmes and data.
