Polish President thanks Trump for sending 5,000 troops
Moscow (ANTARA) – The President of Poland, Karol Nawrocki, expressed thanks to the President of the United States, Donald Trump, for his decision to send an additional 5,000 soldiers to Poland. “I thank the President of the United States, Donald J. Trump, for his friendship with Poland and for the decisions, the practical dimensions of which we can now see very clearly,” Nawrocki wrote on the X platform on Thursday (21 May). On the same day, Trump said that the United States would send an additional 5,000 American military personnel to Poland. Currently, around 10,000 American soldiers have been stationed in Poland. Subsequently, the Defense News portal reported that the U.S. Army cancelled the deployment of a unit, comprising more than 4,000 soldiers and their equipment, to Poland.
