Police yet to find civilian involvement in acid attack on Andrie Yunus
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Metro Jaya Regional Police stated that there has been no involvement of civilians in the case of the acid attack on activist and KontraS Deputy Coordinator Andrie Yunus. Dirreskrimum of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Kombes Pol Iman Imanuddin, conveyed that the case has already been handed over to the TNI Military Police. “Up to the process of handover, we have not found any involvement from civilians,” said Iman when attending a meeting with Commission III of the DPR RI at the parliamentary complex in Jakarta on Tuesday. He emphasised that the police will always be committed to processing law enforcement to demand accountability in a transparent manner and respecting Human Rights (HAM). “We will continue to carry out law enforcement efforts accordingly,” he said. However, he stated that every law enforcement action carried out will always be based on legal facts obtained from the investigation process. For that reason, he invited all parties to pray together for the recovery of Andrie Yunus and to be able to return to activities as usual. He also thanked all parties for all the input and corrections towards the police. “All input and corrections will serve as guidelines and medicine for us to do better in serving the community, nation, and state,” he said.
