JAKARTA — The Indonesian National Police headquarters (Mabes Polri) has urged the public to immediately report through the 110 hotline service if they feel disturbed by requests for Eid holiday bonuses (THR) or contributions from groups or community organisations (ormas) ahead of Idul Fitri.

Irjen Pol Johnny Eddizon Isir, head of the Polri Public Relations Division, said the public can use the service to lodge complaints or reports if such solicitation practices are deemed troubling.

“Please call the 110 number, contact the 110 hotline and report,” Isir said at the Polri Public Relations Building in Jakarta on Wednesday, 11 March 2026.

However, if such requests are made in a manner that is disruptive or makes residents uncomfortable, the public is welcome to file a report.

“If they feel bothered, then as I said we have the 110 hotline,” he said.

According to Isir, Polri will prioritise preventive measures and appeals first if such practices are found on the ground.

“We are urging that if there is such a thing, whether it’s in written form or whatever, and it is felt to be disturbing, we are urging you to stop, don’t do it, that’s what I mean,” Isir said.

However, Polri does not rule out taking law enforcement action if such requests are conducted in a structured manner and cause public unrest.

“If it is already systematic and causes considerable distress, then we will not rule out the option of law enforcement measures,” Isir said.
