Police urge Kalibaru residents to help create a safe environment
The Criminal Investigation Unit of the Kalibaru Police Sector, under the Tanjung Priok Port Police, has urged residents to work together to maintain a safe and conducive environment. “We invite residents who are conducting night patrols to jointly create a safe and conducive environment,” said AKP Supriyono, Head of the Criminal Investigation Unit at Kalibaru Police Sector, during a visit to a community security post at Kalibaru Port on Monday night. He stressed that crimes such as aggravated theft, violent theft, and motorcycle theft, collectively known as 3C crimes, must be anticipated together. “Likewise, for other criminal acts, we ask residents to help the police by providing information if there is an incident or a suspicious person,” he said. AKP Supriyono also requested residents to reactivate the mandatory 1x24 hour guest reporting rule. He added that if there are any matters that could disrupt public order, residents should immediately contact the local community police officer, the Kalibaru Police Sector, or the 110 call centre. “Officers will provide a rapid response to residents’ reports,” he said. Local resident Arianto Ritonga responded positively to the message delivered by the Kalibaru Police Sector during the meeting at the community security post. He said such activities serve as a good communication channel between the community and the police. “We hope that all potential security threats can be prevented and resolved together from an early stage,” he said.
