Police unravel murder case in Bogor
BOGOR: Bogor Police have managed to piece together a murder
case in which a Malaysian national was killed, allegedly
masterminded by his wife, using eight hired killers.
Deputy Chief of Bogor Police Precinct, Comr. Wisnu Sandjaja
told the press on Monday that six of the nine suspects in the
killing of Malaysian, Boo A Sing, 51, were identified as D, 30
and Am, 36--both former members of the elite Army special forces
Kopassus--, DW, 34, a police officer, BJ, 30, KP, 36 and the
prime suspect Sri Suparti, 47, the victim's wife.
The other three suspects are still at large.
The police said that Sri paid the killers some Rp 250 million
(US$25,000) to assassinate her husband.
"We arrested D, AM, DW, AG, BJ, last Saturday in Jakarta, KP
in Yogyakarta on Sunday afternoon, Sri was captured in Cimanggis
last Friday," said Wisnu.
According to police, Sri decided to hire the murderers because
she claims Sing, her husband, had abused her.
Sing, a Malaysian businessman, worked as a director at a
garment factory in Cimanggis. His body was found on Dec. 3 at the
Tunggeulis reservoir in the Cileungsi district of Bogor. --JP
