Police Unmask Leny Agustya as Mastermind Recruiting Indonesians for Cambodian Online Gambling Rings

The Indonesian National Police have identified Leny Agustya as a wanted international fugitive, designated with an Interpol Red Notice, for her role as the principal recruiter in a human trafficking operation that sent Indonesian citizens to work illegally as online gambling operators in Cambodia. Agustya is accused of systematically recruiting victims through WhatsApp groups named ‘Holiyay’ and ‘Liburaaannn’, operated under the account ‘Jastip by Alana’. She allegedly orchestrated the entire travel documentation and coached the victims to deceive airport authorities by claiming they were merely holidaying in Malaysia for four days. The investigation revealed that Agustya manipulated the travel routes of the illegal migrant workers. She provided the victims with TransNusa flight tickets from Jakarta to Kuala Lumpur on 17 January 2026, a booking at the Summer Suites KLCC hotel, and return AirAsia tickets to Bali. Simultaneously, she secretly purchased Cambodia Airways tickets from Kuala Lumpur to Phnom Penh for the same date, instructing the victims to conceal these from airport officials. The scheme was uncovered by the Criminal Investigation Unit of the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, who foiled the attempted smuggling of two Indonesian citizens. The operation was a joint effort involving the Indonesian National Police’s International Relations Division, the Soekarno-Hatta Airport Police, Immigration, and Aviation Security. With Agustya now on the Interpol Red Notice list, the police have affirmed their absolute commitment to dismantling the human trafficking network completely, stating there will be zero tolerance for syndicates that exploit Indonesian citizens for transnational criminal profit.
