Police Uncover WhatsApp Group Named 'Teh Gembul' Used by 27 Sampang Rape Suspects

Police in Sampang, East Java, have uncovered a WhatsApp group named ‘Teh Gembul’ that was used by 27 suspects involved in the gang rape of a 15-year-old girl. Sampang Police Chief AKBP Hartono confirmed the existence of the group, stating that it was deliberately created by the perpetrators. He noted that the group is no longer active, as its members have since left, but investigators are continuing to probe the chat group to help identify and locate the remaining suspect. Out of the 27 named suspects, 13 have been arrested, while one remains on the wanted list.
