Bogor Police have uncovered the circulation of liquid narcotics in the form of vape cartridges (vibrating pods) and Happy Water in Bogor Regency. One dealer has been arrested. Bogor Police Chief AKBP Wikha Ardilestanto stated that the modus operandi involving vape liquid containing etomidate represents a new type of drug distribution in the Bogor Regency area. Evidence seized in this disclosure includes 65 cartridges or e-cigarette liquids and 70 packets of Happy Water. “I must explain that this is quite prominent, regarding the new narcotic variant, namely etomidate and Happy Water. This is a new discovery where previously we had never uncovered etomidate. It turns out this substance has already entered the Bogor Regency area,” Wikha said during a press conference on Monday (20/7/2026). “Officers secured one suspect with the initials EJ along with evidence of 65 etomidate cartridges and 70 packets of Happy Water,” he added. The Bogor Police Narcotics Unit has now uncovered three cases related to etomidate and Happy Water in the last three months. Wikha stated that this disclosure is the first of its kind in West Java. “As explained by the narcotics chief, regarding the disclosure of cases related to etomidate, the Bogor Police Narcotics Unit is the first within the West Java Regional Police to uncover this case,” Wikha said. It was previously reported that Bogor Police uncovered 74 cases and detained 95 suspects related to drug trafficking over the past three months.
