The anti-narcotics unit (Satresnarkoba) of Buleleng Police in Bali has dismantled a crystal methamphetamine distribution network. Police seized 117 packets of crystal meth ready for distribution from two suspects, after first apprehending a man who acted as a street-level courier.

The case began with the arrest of NE (21) in Julah Village, Tejakula Sub-district, on Friday (28/8/2026) at around 17.45 WITA. From NE, police seized 21 packets of crystal meth weighing 7.35 grams gross, or 3.36 grams net.

The head of the Buleleng Police Narcotics Unit, AKP Putu Edy Sukaryawan, said NE acted as a courier in the Julah Village area. Based on NE’s testimony, police obtained information about two people higher up in the network, namely KF (20) and YG (22).

“It was the role of the perpetrator NE that opened up the network above him. NE acted as a courier in Julah Village,” said Edy on Tuesday (15/9/2026).

Armed with this information, police searched for the two suspects in the Tejakula area. However, police received information that KF and YG were staying in a rented room on Jalan Pulau Natuna, Penarukan neighbourhood, Penarukan Village, Buleleng Sub-district.

“Our narcotics investigators initially tried to find these two suspects in Tejakula, but based on information from NE, it turned out that at the time the two suspects were in a rented room in Penarukan,” explained Putu Edy.

Police then arrested KF and YG on the same day at around 20.00 WITA. From the pair, police found 117 packets of crystal meth ready for distribution, weighing 40.95 grams gross or 18.72 grams net.

“From these two suspects, we managed to secure 117 packets of narcotics ready for distribution, weighing 40.95 grams gross or 18.72 grams net,” he said.

KF and YG are residents of Julah Village, Tejakula Sub-district. Both were charged under Article 114 paragraph 1 of Law Number 35 of 2009 on Narcotics and Article 609 paragraph 2 letter a of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code.

Eight police reports

In recent months, the Satresnarkoba of Buleleng Police has uncovered eight police reports involving 10 suspects. The evidence secured amounts to 61.69 grams gross, or approximately 31.77 grams net.

The Buleleng Police Chief, AKBP Ruzi Gusman, affirmed that his unit would continue to dismantle drug distribution networks in order to identify the role of each perpetrator.
