Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Narcotics Reserve Unit of the Metro Bekasi Police Resort has uncovered an alleged distribution of Schedule G hard drugs (dangerous type) in West Cikarang, Bekasi Regency, arresting one man and seizing hundreds of illegal pills.

The Metro Bekasi Police Chief, Senior Commissioner Sumarni, stated that several pieces of evidence have been secured from the suspect, a man with the initials AMR (29), in the Sukadanau area, West Cikarang Sub-district, Bekasi Regency.

“The evidence includes 295 Eximer pills, 90 Tramadol pills, IDR 917,000 in cash suspected to be proceeds from sales, one mobile phone, one motorcycle, and the suspect’s wallet,” she said in Jakarta on Wednesday.

Sumarni mentioned that initial examinations indicate AMR was conducting sales of these hard drugs in the West Cikarang area, and investigators are still probing the network and origin of the distributed items.

She added that this uncovering is part of the police’s commitment to eradicating the circulation of unlicensed hard drugs that potentially endanger the public.

“The Metro Bekasi Police Resort is committed to continuing crackdowns on the distribution of unlicensed hard drugs. This is a priority for us because the impacts are highly dangerous, especially for the younger generation,” Sumarni stated.

She explained that the suspect, along with the evidence, has been brought to the Metro Bekasi Police Resort headquarters for further examination and legal proceedings.

Additionally, Sumarni said that from January to 5 May 2026, the Metro Bekasi Police Resort and its subordinates have uncovered 216 narcotics and hard drug cases, with a total of 286 suspects.

The evidence seized during that period includes 275.75 grams of sabu, 3,235.03 grams of marijuana, 385,000 hard drug pills, 120 ecstasy pills, 604.89 grams of synth, 3.18 grams of synth powder, and 13.52 grams of synth seeds.

“We urge the public not to hesitate to report any suspicious activities related to the distribution of narcotics or unlicensed hard drugs. The role of the community is vital in keeping the environment safe and conducive,” she said.
