This enforcement was carried out on Monday (11/5/2026), specifically in Desa Cemplang to Desa Kareo, Jawilan. Officers found several trucks parked on the shoulder of the Cikande-Rangkasbitung main road.

Kapolsek Jawilan AKP Erwan Nurwanda stated that the enforcement was conducted as an effort to anticipate congestion and prevent traffic accidents on that route. Before taking action, the police had given warnings to the truck drivers not to park their vehicles on the roadside.

“Officers had previously given warnings to the dump truck crews not to park on the road body because it is very dangerous for other road users,” said the Kapolsek.

According to him, the presence of dump trucks parked along the roadside not only disrupts the smooth flow of traffic but also has the potential to cause accidents, especially at night when drivers’ visibility is limited.

“In addition to hindering traffic flow, vehicles parked on the roadside are prone to causing traffic accidents. Therefore, we carried out enforcement and the vehicles were turned back,” he said.

During the activity, officers also gave reprimands to drivers of tronton dump trucks carrying soil or sand not to pass through or stop on that road section before 10:00 PM in accordance with the applicable provisions.

Erwan explained that the prohibition on dump truck operations at certain hours is a follow-up to the regional regulation issued by the Banten Provincial Government to reduce traffic density and minimise accident risks on the main route.

“We reminded dump truck drivers to comply with the operational hour rules according to the applicable regional regulation. Dump trucks are prohibited from passing through the Cikande-Rangkasbitung main road until 10:00 PM,” clarified Erwan.

Officers in the field also asked transport business owners and vehicle owners to actively participate in maintaining traffic order by reminding drivers not to park haphazardly on the roadside.

“The enforcement activity will continue to be carried out routinely as a form of Polsek Jawilan’s commitment to creating security, safety, order, and smooth traffic in the Polsek Jawilan jurisdiction,” he said.
